The only reason you guys are against gay marriage is because you are angry people with unfulfilled lives.
I mean that harmless gay couple across the street affects you how?
That harmless gay couple takes a trip to the Justice of the Peace and gets a marriage liscenses affects you how?
One day when one of them gets sick and the other wants to visit them in the hospital, this affects you how?
When they want to file joint taxes this affects you how?
When one person in the gay relationship dies, and the other has to plan their funeral, this affects you how?
Why does their marriage liscense need any input from you at all?
Who are you to these people?
I just don’t understand.

  2. Hooray for JFK says:

I’m against gay marriage because marriage is between a man and a woman, and is not a political status, rather a religious one.

  3. GOZ2FAST says:

WE don’t care what you do in the privacy of your own home…but when you try to redefine marriage, family and teach our children that your alternative lifestyle is normal, we have a problem with that.

  4. Ron Paul says:

We’re people who believe in family values; unlike you. Marriage should always stay between a man and a woman.

  5. hardhead says:

Once the rue of 1 man and 1 woman is broken why stop there? Why not 1 man and 2 woman …?

  6. butt, yeah says:

    Understand this.
    It’s a perverted choice.

  7. willie says:

not every conservative opposes gay marriage. as a libertarian, i oppose marriage as a government contract. it shouldn’t take permission from the government to get married. progressives started this nonsense. go back to them and tell them they have no right to say who can or cannot marry.

  8. Herbert S says:

Did some one get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Your prejudge against conservatives is very clear. Your are the one filled with hate. I could care less you you want to hump.
Now if you address the hated and prejudge liberals harbor, I will then listen.

  9. qwert says:

“Gay marriage” is an oxymoron. It cannot and does not exist and never will.
Gays can have the same rights as married couples with civil unions.

  10. Uncle Pennybags says:

I’m against gay marriage because I don’t see any point to it.
Traditional marriage has a societal purpose. To encourage the couple to form a stable family, procreate, and raise the children to be good people.
Obviously gay marriage doesn’t serve that societal purpose.
However, having said that, I believe the 14th Amendment requires that we let gays wed.

  11. Annie says:

Of course you don’t understand, not all conservatives agree with what you claim. I sure don’t.

  12. jerry l says:

Conservatives? In 28 states, including California and Oregon, voters have decided to ban gay marriage.

  13. Citadelg says:

I don;t need to be directly affected by any other prohibition, rape, murder, etc do not need to be personal fears of mine, yet nobody DEMANDS to know why I care about statutory rape, since I am over the age of consent.
The couple does NOT affect me, I do not wish them ill. I hope they are happy and support their right to love whoever they want.
THEY, however, want ME to re define a relationship in a way that no other society, read that again, NO OTHER SOCIETY, has done from the dawn of time until now. I am not OK with that just because they want to do it. I do not assume our ancestors are idiots just because they are no longer here to defend themselves.
ALL of the benefits of marriage are available through other means, wills, adoptions, contracts, etc. ANYTHING that is not so available should be and I support changes to grant that.
I DO NOT SUPPORT redefining marriage.

  14. Catechum says:

I don’t think you can handle another perspective, but I’ll try to put it as plainly as possible.
I absolutely reject the idea that sexual behavior equates to identity, and that is the entire idea behind “gay marriage.” “Gays” allegedly reject being treated differently for their sexual behavior, yet at the same time, they want there sexual behavior to be their differentiating identity. Please teach me the logical gymnsatics that make this a reasonable position….I’m really curious to know how you arrive there.

  15. Me J says:

I’m against gay “marriage” because I find it repugnant…
    Is that OK with you?

  16. Rick says:

Why worry about what they think? The obvious trend is to legalize gay marriage. It may not happen everywhere as fast as you’d like but it will happen in the next decade or two.

  17. phil says:

see you claim only reason is because of what you want it to be,why do gays want everyone to bend over backwards for them, marriage by definition is between a man and a woman,i don’t care what you do behind closed doors,it is none of my business, but when you claim we need to alter our language to fit your agenda i have a problem. do what you want, grow up and quit making this an issue, have a civil union

  18. Jaime says:

My wife and I are happy and laugh all the time so we are a gay married couple.

  19. Mr. Smartypants says:

It’s ironic that the Republican Party came into being for the sole purpose of ending slavery. The very first Republican president took care of that. And within a decade or so the GOP had become the Party of Intolerance. Through most of its history, the GOP has instigated, encouraged and exploited EVERY kind of intolerance. Not just racism but sexism, nativism and xenophobia, homophobia and even religious intolerance.
This is getting harder over time. Intolerance used to be as American as Mom and apple pie, but lately it’s gotten itself a bad name. The last ’safe’ target of intolerance is gays. So they make up stories about a ‘Gay Agenda’.. 30 years ago they claimed that all gays were pedophiles, because they couldn’t reproduce so they had to recruit. Today they can’t make that claim so they claim gay marriage is a deliberate ploy to destroy traditional marriage.

  20. _Justifi says:

I am Conservative, and I am not against “legal gay union” I just think they should legally call it something else because marriage started out as a religious union, and I think they should let the religious zealots keep that
