My Acer laptop died and I just got back from the funeral. Anyway, I’m getting a new laptop next month.
I know that both of them are Incredible laptops but I have trouble deciding which one to get.
I have read a few reviews and most say that Macs are way better. Been a PC user my whole life, planning on switching ,giving Mac a try since some say it’s easy to use. I don’t mind the change in OS, since I’m a quick learner.
Anyway, I tend to do a lot of Assignments using my laptop and I do a lot of Powerpoint Presentations using it. (meaning, I use the Projector frequently) and I type in all my homeworks and Essays down. I do Photoshop a lot and do a lot Video Editing in College, since I’m the head of Magazine-committee. I also record Guitar song covers on youtube and I need a Really good Mic and HD Camera for it. Besides that, I download and watch Movies and online 24/7. I dont do much gaming in my Laptop since I have PS3,PS2, xbox360 and Wii at home.

It sounds like a Macbook would work great for what you’re describing. I’m a Mac user at home, but PC at work. I use Powerpoint on both, no problem. I also use Photoshop a lot. I don’t do any music stuff, but from what I’ve heard, that’s a great experience on a Mac.
The only other thing to think about would be if you do a lot of gaming – are your games available for Mac.
sounds like the switch would work.
Since you are working with a lot of video, go with the macbook pro.
Macbook Pro is a smart choice for professionals and technical users. It has everything you need in your pc. It is known to have a faster processor, long lasting battery, higher resolution, awesome video quality, video editing, HD camera and many other features. It completely matches your requirements.Besides, nobody can compete Macbook Pro in its classy look and unique performance. You’d love it.

MAC are more viruses protracted then other PC.
Both are good and are up to the task ( for whatever ever you throw at them) Mac is traditionally used for editing videos and multimedia but you can use the equally powerful Vaio C series as well (i do a lot of video editing and ‘photoshopping’ on a medium range HP latptop and encounter no problems – i have used iMacs for the same stuff in the past) Sure PC’s have more viruses, trojans, malware etc than Mac’s but Mac’s are not immune (recently a nasty trojan was doing the rounds on the Mac’s)
Then there is the price. Macbook Pro is more expensive (anywhere you are) than the top of the range Vaio C series and if you are on a budget, you might want to go for the Vaio. (If i had to choose for my work, i would go with the Sony. I might occasionally play games and use software not found on the Mac)
Both are big names, covered by warranty and offer excellent customer support so you won’t go wrong with either
Animations, transitions, and movies play more smoothly in PowerPoint 2011 for Mac than they do with even top of the line hardware in PowerPoint 2010 for Windows.
