I’m going on holiday to dubai at the end of april, I had saved £5,000 but recent events (family members funeral) meant I had to spend a lot of that. Will £1,000 be enough for 2 weeks? I know its difficult for someone else to answer that because it depends on what I plan to do, but I’m just looking for a rough idea of the cost of living in Dubai. The hotel is already paid.
Thanks! xxx

The peace for you.
No , its not enough ,
1000 will be enough if u want to live in Dubai , but if u are visiting u’ll need more .
u can handle it with 1000 but u’ll not do everything nice u can in Dubai ,
so here is an advice , collect more “at least 2000″ and go there because not everyday is a holiday
if the hotel is paid, then i think you can enjoy a great time in dubai, dubai currency is lesser than dollar so that when you convert it, it is more and you can do lots of things, it just that you need to be careful when spending and spend on things you think are really important when it comes to tourism, check out some nice tour oeprator and see if they can come up with a personal sightseeing plan for you where you can decide what you want to do within the budget you have. go to http://www.dubaifunholidays.com/dubaitours/dubai-excursions.php and see how you can enjoy dubai within a budget too
GBP 1.000 is enough as long as you don’t plan to do some expensive shopping. GBP 1.000 equal almost AED 6.000 / 14 = around AED 428 per day. If your accommodation is paid already, you have the choice to dine out a carte once per day or eat at the food court of any mall which may cost you AED 30.
If going out, start at Happy Hour and enjoy cheaper drinks. If you want to consume alcohol, buy up to 4 bottles at Duty Free in Dubai (around AED 40 – 50 per bottle) instead emptying the mini bar.
Visit restaurant not connected to any hotel, it’s cheaper because they aren’t licensed to serve alcohol. Breakfast will be served and once in a while a couple sandwiches may be enough for the day. Ready sandwiches can be bought in Hypermarkets.
The most money spend by tourists are spend on dining out, clubbing (alcohol), tours, entrance, etc.
Try to save money the first week and you will have enough to go shopping the 2nd week.
Enjoy your vacation.
Without visa,Air ticket and Hotel rent it is enough. Now u need food and transportation cost.
£1,000 will be Dhs,5,800/-.Of course it enough for 2 week. You can pay even part of your hotel rent from this.
