I Live In Tx But Want My Funeral Services In Sc, How Can I Request My Body To Be Transferred To Sc?

Also will my policy cover this? and should the policy be quoted for SC? Just making some plans for the future.

Your life insurance covers the amount of money that you decided when you bought the policy. The policy does not pay additional money because of the need to transfer the body; if you want it to cover that cost, then you need more coverage than you would otherwise.
The person you named as beneficiary decides how to spend it, and does not have to spend it how you want.
The way you request it is to tell your family, or whomever will be making the decisions, what you want. They may or may not decide to follow your wishes.

You can make all the arrangements and even pay for the services before you die or you can leave written instructions with the family or beneficiary of the insurance policy. The insurance money is paid to the beneficiary not the mortuary so it is your designee that will need to make the arrangements and payments if you don’t.

You put this in your will, or letter of instruction if a living trust and leaving instructions that the cost of your funeral, transportation etc. is to be paid from your estate. Be sure to tell your relatives of your plans. If you are purchasing a prepaid funeral plan you need to coordinate this with the funeral home where you are doing this and let them know of your plans.

Talk to a funeral director and make a pre-need. You should also include this wish in your will. Airlines fly bodies as cargo all the time. It is very common.
