I Am In The Middle Of Job Interviews With This One Company, Today There Was A Death In The Family, Do I Tell?

I have been meeting once a week with a possible employer to go over job details and such, and we are planning to meet again this week, but there was unfortunately a death in the family, do I tell him? How much info do I tell him? Since I dont know when the funeral is yet I have to put the next meeting on hold right?

Tell them and say I’m not sure when funeral is yet. Then when u get the date let them knw that as well. B open and honest they respect that.

just be honest with them. Let them know up front there was a death in the family and you may have to attend the funeral. If it interferes with your interview process, you would be glad to reschedule ASAP, but you wanted to give them fair warning so they would not be caught of guard. They should understand your problem.

Absolutely tell them! They will not want to know anything except your schedule. A company would only give you condolences tell you to contact them when you are ready to continue your meetings.
