We consider ourselves believers of Jesus Christ but we don’t go to a Church that often. Can someone suggest some ideas for funerals that could possible be acceptable by a religious family? We don’t want to the family to embarrassed. We live a simple life and want a simple funeral.

Have it at the funeral home. If the person that died had a friend that was a spiritual person, ask that person to say a few words and then say if anyone wants to tell a story about the one that died, let them. It’s a good way to get the grief out.
