I am writing a story about 4 sisters who were very close growing up but when each sister left home, they all grew apart. They are only reunited by the death of their father 15 years later. After the funeral, they sit down and talk about the lives they have lead for the past 15 years. The story goes in depth into each sisters story and of course the reactions they receive. This is modern day and it just shows the ups and downs of life in general. Here are the descriptions:
Eldest sister:
She is incredibly smart, mature, has a heart of pure gold, and is amazingly loyal. But she has a secret desire to run away and travel the world and has an unknown free spirit. She is the the the typical eldest in some ways but as she tells her story, you can see that her loyalty and heart gets in they way of her dreams at times. She is very tall, has long wavy brown hair, wise hazel eyes, and a warm smile that makes anyone feel warm and safe. I was thinking her name should be Adelaide. What do you think?
Second Eldest:
She is the boldest out of all of them. She doesn’t care about what people think of her and has the strongest will. She is witty, strong, and fun person to get into an argument with. She swears she will never marry or have children and that she will live for herself. Her dream is to go into business and become a millionaire. But when she is about to graduate college she meets a man and her life plan changes and she learns that she can have it all and find love. She has short curly brown hair, cunning gray eyes, pale freckled skin, and she is tall as well. I don’t know what to name her so could you suggest something for me?
Third Daughter:
She is (for lack of a better term) the dumbest of the 4 sisters. She can be quite superficial at times but at the end of the day, she does mean well. She dreams of marrying a rich guy, having a couple kids, and becoming a lady at lunch. She does not go to college and marries a wealthy man nearly twice her age. She has 4 children and lives in a mansion. But her seemingly perfect life crumbles when her husband dies and leaves the family staggering amounts of dept to pay off. Through this tough time, she learns what really matters. She is quite petite, has very long dirty blonde hair, violet eyes, and tan skin. I don’t know what name to give her. Could you help?
Youngest:
She is smart and a very gentle nature but she is very unsure of herself. She lacks confidence and she feels inferior to her older sisters. She is shy, smart, gentle, warm, and caring. She is considered the prettiest with soft wavy blond hair, icy blue eyes, a medium size build and flawless pale skin. She suffers much pain in the story but in the end, finds what makes her happy. I was thinking of Grace or Liliane “Lily” for her. What do you think?

~Second Sister – Cassandra (Cassie) sounds like a bold name for a feminine, successful woman. It also flows with the others.
~Third Sister – Julia. I don’t really have a reason for it, it just sorta popped into my head.
~Youngest Sister – Lily fits nicely for a smart, shy girl.
My suggestions are: Adelaide, Cassie, Julia, and Lily.

I think Adelaide would work very well for the eldest.

The meaning of Adelaide is noble and kind. It seems fitting for the description you’ve provided.
2. Violet/Allegra/Stella nn Vivi/Ally/Elle
Violet means violet flower.
Allegra means joyful/merry .
Stella means a star.
When I first read the description Violet came into my head and then Allegra and Stella when I read through it again.
3. Penelope/Vivienne/Charlotte nn Penn OR Poppy/Vivi/Lottie OR Char OR Charly
Penelope means weaver.
Vivienne means alive.
Charlotte means petite and feminine.
I really like Charlotte for this character.
4. Lyla/Emmeline/Aurora nn Ly/Emme/Rory
Lyla means night.
Emmeline means rival, industrious.
Aurora means dawn.
I really like Aurora for this character because of her physical features.

This reminds me of the book little women. Anyway here are the names that I think matches. The eldest sister’s name should be Charlotte, the second should be spelt like Joanya because Joannia sounds like a cute little girl which is NOT the girl in your description (you say it like Joe-awn-yah), Judith, or Casey, the third should be Jennifer, the youngest should be Emily or Mercy. You might not think that mercy fits her but mercy sounds like a shy,gentle, warm girl. Mercy is also a character in the witch of blackbird pond ( it’s a book that is sooooo fun) that is just like your description except mercy from the witch has gray eyes.
