This guy I had a third date planned with this saturday, had attended a funeral out of town. he told me when he was leaving and what day and time he would be back. So I texted him yesterday on Tuesday, the day after he got back to ask him how the funeral went, and he never responded! We havent talked since Friday. My family seems to think he blew me off, but he is still on my facebook. I know I didn’t do any thing wrong. And he never showed me any signs that he wasn’t interested any more. we are both in our 30’s if it matters.

Well, I would give him a couple more days – The funeral night have caused some sad reaction on his part.
(That is, if he really attended a funeral)
It could have been an excuse !
If you don’t hear from him an a couple of days, you could try one more text.
But if you don’t get a response, then I would move on.
The whole thing about the funeral could have been fabricated and an easy way out for him not to contact you anymore.

You say he is still your friend on Facebook, has he been active on it? If not, I would be more worried about if he is okay, than blowing you off at this point. If someone is usually good about answering their phone and is a regular Facebook user and isn’t on either.. that would scare me. Was everything going good before he left? That is weird. Remember that everyone grieves differently, and maybe he is having a really rough time. I hope this turns out good!!
