max is travelling through Ontario, Canada when he meets a young girl by the name of Vivienne, who is hitchhiking back home. Alex gives her a ride, however tragedy soon strikes and Vivienne dies. Confused and devastated, max decides to seek out Viviane’s mother Linda .Due to Linda’s strange behavior traits, max discovers that she is autistic and can’t touch garbage bags. So max stays for a couple of days to help her out and plan Vivienne’s funeral, the two then somehow strike up a relationship. This film does an amazing job at showing autism in a different viewpoint. Portraying Linda to be a cheerful and independent individual, beating the stereotypes of that other media has of the autistic disorder.
