Woman has been told the Cancer will return after having breast removed last week. with no treatment at her age (85) with this rare form of cancer which is caused in women who have had radiation in years past will return in lungs or brain around 3 months? If the doctors doctors know it is rare how do they know for sure how long it will take to return and where.
Anyway about her funeral she will need to plan with no funds do you know who I can call to aid in her being buried with dignity?
She is on Medicaid/medicare?
Social Security will pay $250 toward burial She has her plot and headstone from years ago when her Husband passed.

stick her in a bin bag and put her out with the other rubbish.
Call a funeral home or the cemetary she already has a plot in.
Cremation is significantly less expensive (like, thousands of dollars less). She could consider selling the plot and headstone and going the cremation route instead.
Poor you. Please ignore the ignorant answer by David. There is some assistance in the UK so probably where you are too. Try contacting your local authority for advice or even speak to her doctor. Someone will help point you in the right direction. And well done for being so caring.
I researched this for my mother and my fiancĂ© some years ago. In both cases, I finally found help from a a welfare fund connected to my father’s RAF service in England and the other was a U.S. veteran. There are some private charities that would help if your loved one has a connection to them and some fraternal organizations, civic organizations, unions, churches, etc. There is no official government help to pay for burials at all in the U.S. As usual, you must go through the maze to get answers.
There are ways to save on the cost of a burial such as having a green burial and buying the casket from the manufacturer and transporting the deceased yourself with a permit. Private charities might offer to help pay for it but frequently that offer is good only at the time of death. Some Catholic cemeteries offer discounts on plots. Some mortuaries which own cemetery plots give a discount.
The $255 from Social Security is only given to the spouse and that does nothing since funeral services are $7000. If she was married to a veteran you might get her into a VA cemetery cheap. Good thing she has a plot because that is the most costly part of the whole burial process.
What everyone should do is buy a pre-need plan and make monthly payments.
Contact the American Cancer Society and see if they can help.
