My girlfriend just lost her father to cancer 6 days ago.I couldn’t go to the wake, but i could make the funeral (which was 3 days ago).So tomorrow is her 21st birthday, so my mom and her mom thought i would be a nice idea to plan a small get together at a restaurant? She was devastated over her fathers death since they where so close! I loved him, we all did.. do you think this is a nice idea? or is it to soon?… (btw we have been dating for 3 years)

I’m hoping to hear from someone who actually works in the funeral industry. I’m currently a film production major with an art history minor, but I’ve learned a lot the last semester and I kind of feel like I could be a good funeral director. I’ve read a lot on the internet and watched documentaries on the funeral industry, so I understand the job. I want to do the planning of the funeral, but not the preparation of the body. I’m not squeamish about it, it’s just not the part that interests me, I have no problem being around the bodies. So I was wondering, since it’s next to impossible to find a degree in funeral direction, would some kind of event planning degree be ok? Or do they only hire people who have like a funeral sciences degree, that can do embalming, make-up, etc? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Death In The Family, What Can I Do?

My boyfriends grandfather died on sunday, I had school today so i wasn’t able to spend sunday with him (he’s in college). I had to leave quite early on sunday, He came up to see me as we both live in different states so he stayed at a friends house for the weekend. But today I decided to just get a note forged by a friend and walk out of my school and then ran to my friends house to make sure he was okay and just held him while he cried.
He told me he was more worried about his dad and didn’t want to see his family upset.
Is there anything I could do for the family, I was planning on sending a bouqet of lilys but the funeral is tomorrow and they wouldn’t get them in time. So I want to try and do something sweet for his family and for him.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

My fiance and I are planning on getting married this October. We have been happily engaged for over a year, and are in the middle of planning our big day. This past saturday I came home from a funeral that he was unable to attend because of work. He thought I was staying at a friends house for the night, I was coming home to surprise him with a romantic evening. So when i got home he was in complete shock, jumped off the couch and ran to the bedroom. I followed him just to see him closing the computer out of porn sites. He knows how much I hate porn! And when I caught him in the past looking at it, we almost broke up. Personal reasons have caused me to completely become against it. Now I have to add this.. Back in October I was diagnosed with Chrons diease, and it does things to your body that are not that pleasant. My hair has thinned, my face broke out for a while, steroids they put me on made me gain a few extra pounds, and I had 2 drain tubes placed in my rear to drain infection from my colon. They are not noticeable, but I havent been able to “do” as much in bed because of them.. Like any woman, this has taken a HUGE toll on my self esteem. And now I feel as if i’m not good enough for him, or attractive enough. On top of being so hurt and betrayed by him looking at porn. We have been fighting since saturday about this.. He said it was just a window of oppurtuninty that I wasnt home and he did it. He has also confessed to doing it more than saturday but 4-5 times since october.. I just dont know what to do. Im so hurt, and he doesnt seem to really care that he has hurt me. He said he was sorry, but then changes the arguement around.. Can someone please give me some advice…

I had to write about Romeo and Juliet, but mainly what Friar Lawrence said about, ‘loving moderately’. And also, my teacher said that I had to ‘pretend that she never read the story before.’ So there’s a lot of explaining. ALSO, if there are any grammar mistakes or if something doesn’t make sense please point it out for me please!! That would help a lot!
In Scene 2, Act 6, before the wedding, Friar Laurence advises Romeo and Juliet to love moderately, then he also quotes, ‘Wisely and slow. They stumble that run fast.“ So what does “to love moderately” mean? Why did he tell them to? How could his advice have helped Romeo and Juliet?
In the beginning of Act 2, Romeo climbs over a wall into the Capulet’s garden and hides under the balcony, in which Juliet sits out on. He overhears Juliet wishing that Romeo’s name didn’t make him her enemy. Romeo then interrupts her and tells her how much he loves her. Juliet tells him that if he truly loves her, he should propose to her. Early the next day, Romeo rushes to see Friar Laurence to tell him that he has fallen in love with Juliet. The Friar is shocked at how Romeo had forgotten Rosaline so quickly, but was glad that the new love could possibly end the feud between the two families.
At the end of Act 2, Romeo tells the Nurse where Juliet should meet him for their wedding. When the Nurse returns to the anxious Juliet, she refuses to tell Juliet the news until she calms down. But she finally tells her that she is to meet Romeo in the chapel where Friar Laurence lives. When Romeo and Juliet both finally meet at the church Friar Laurence takes them to the church to be married.
After the marriage everything goes downhill, Romeo kills Tybalt because Tybalt killed Mercutio, and gets banished from Verona. Juliet is upset that her beloved cousin, Tybalt is dead, but is more upset that Romeo is banished and that she could never see him again. Her parents notice that she is grieving, and set up wedding arrangements with Paris. When Juliet’s mom tells her the ‘good news’ Juliet refuses to marry him. Which sets off an entire fight with her parents, and she loses her trust with the Nurse.
Juliet leaves to see Friar Laurence to delay or cancel the wedding. When she arrives, she sees Paris making the wedding arrangements with him, then Juliet and the Friar go into his cell and discuss a plan to get out of the wedding, it was risky, though. To fake her own death with a sleeping potion to trick everyone into thinking she’s dead. Friar Laurence writes a letter to Romeo explaining what happened, and gives it to Friar John to get it to him in Mantua.
The next morning, the day Juliet is supposed to marry Paris, her Nurse finds her “dead” in her bed. Friar Laurence makes them hurry to have a funeral and to put her into the family vault. Romeo’s servant, Balthazar, arrives in Mantua and tells him that Juliet is dead and buried. Romeo buys a bottle of poison and hurries back to Verona. Friar Laurence discovers too late from Friar John that his message to Romeo has failed to be delivered. He rushes to get to Juliet’s grave before Romeo does.
When Romeo finally gets to the tomb, he finds Paris already there grieving over Juliet. Paris thinks that Romeo is there to vandalize the Capulet’s tomb and bodies, so he challenges Romeo do a duel. Paris gets killed by Romeo and then Romeo places him in the tomb. After seeing Juliet dead, he gives her one last kiss and drinks his vile of poison. Friar Laurence comes just as Juliet is waking up, he tries to get her out of the tomb as quickly as possible, but when Juliet sees Romeo dead, she refuses to leave. Juliet tries to drink the poison but it’s all gone, so she takes Romeo’s dagger and stabs herself.
Then the Montague’s and the Capulet’s show up on the scene and Friar Laurence explains everything to them and they all get along by building statues of each other’s child.
So, “to love moderately” means a love that is modest is a love that lasts a long time, while implying that they shouldn’t love obsessively, because it will die out. As for the other quote, it simply means, “Slow and steady will win the race.” His advice would’ve kept Romeo and Juliet alive and together for the rest of their lives, but they were so determined to be together in such a short time, that it lead them to their own destruction.

This photo is a face who is suffering severe psychosis and is in the height of post traumatic stress disorder … they were diagnosed about six to ten months before this photo.
This image is of a face who has a mind and the mind is in the spirit realms at this point when the photo was taken.
God has a firm hold of me in this photo and I am still going through a spiritual ritual where I am pulling the sword of truth out of my own body and God is also removing it over and over again.
Now … in this psychosis … I am also seeing this giant sized being who has the ability to breathe his own breath …. as in hurtle his breath … up and down my own throat as I try to breathe.
I find i am trapped in a mirror maze?
I find that the god has stunned me and shocked me and made me look like this?
Why do I look like this when I am so sick?
The doctors say i was “highly elevated” …. but I was dying and fighting for my life and almost gave up and thought about planning my own funeral … yet my face says “happy”
Where am I and why is God so freaking different to anything anybody ever said?
